Alexis Cox

Alexis was raised in the Sunland /Tujunga/ La Crescenta area. Alexis’ personal struggle with homelessness, addiction, and mental illness helped her to understand the importance of having community support when going through challenging circumstances.

After Jesus began transforming her life, serving at Making it Happen helped Alexis to be engaged in positive activities while volunteering at their food bank and hot meal. Alexis then went on to achieve her business degree and now works as a nonprofit consultant. She was also even appointed as a pastor at the church where she serves and leads an addiction/ mental illness ministry. Her goal is to use her experiences, knowledge, and faith to impact the lives of others who need support.
