Join us this holiday season as we spread joy and love to children in our community. This year we are having a Family Christmas Celebration for children in the Sunland-Tujunga schools and their families. The event will take place on December 22 at New Hope Activity Center and include dinner and entertainment. We invite you to partner with us by donating to our Family Christmas Fund.
We are very sorry to announce that Saturday’s Free Medical & Dental Clinic has been cancelled. We apologize for the late notice and inconvenience. Our service partner, Medical Mission Adventures, is currently doing outreach in the Gulf Coast areas affected by Hurricane Harvey and is unable to provide the trucks and equipment necessary to put on the clinic. Please share this update with your friends and family who were planning to attend. We are working diligently to re-schedule a clinic before the end of this year. The Health Department will still be at our location providing free Hepatitis A vaccines from 12:30pm to 3:00pm.
We are so disappointed to have to cancel this event. Please pray for our Gulf Coast neighbors as they recover from devastating losses.
This Saturday we will be sponsoring another free medical & dental clinic in Sunland. Registration begins at 8am; Services start at 9am.
Making It Happen, Inc. & Medical Mission Adventures partner again in Sunland at Chapel of the Hills Church (11120 Oro Vista Ave) to provide free care to the hurting and needy. Services at the clinic will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and run from 9am to 4pm.
There will also be free Hepatitis A vaccines available. No optical services at this event.
VOLUNTEER INFORMATION -Medical Mission Adventures welcomes Clinical and Non-Clinical volunteers, but this event is especially in need of nurses, optometrists, and dental hygienists, in addition to administrative assistance and set-up/tear-down.
