We're spreading the word about the upcoming Job Fair & Open House at the North Valley Occupational Center on Friday, April 28, from 10:30am to 1:30pm.
Many service providers and agencies will be there to help our neighbors find employment and/or job training.
Yesterday Making It Happen and our clinic partner, Medical Mission Adventures, were able to serve more than 30 guests at our first free clinic of 2017. In addition to free health care services, prescriptions, teeth cleaning, extractions, and reading glasses, our enthusiastic volunteers also served up a tasty lunch, lively conversations, music videos, encouragement, prayer, and love to our neighbors in need.
Medical Missions will be back out on May 20 to provide dental and optical services to those guests who we weren't able to take care of at this event.
Making It Happen is dedicated to bringing much needed free healthcare services to our community.
Our first Medical Mission clinic of 2017 is fast approaching. On April 8, MIH and Medical Mission Adventures (MMA) are providing a free medical, dental, and optical clinic, open to any and all on a first-come, first-served basis. These events are a great way to get to serve our community and our neighbors in need.
We are looking for non-clinical volunteers to help with set-up/tear-down, paperwork administration, guest escorts, food service, kid's activities, and much more.
Medical Mission Adventures is also looking for clinical volunteers to provide professional services at these events. Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, opticians, dentists, dental hygienists, are all needed. If you are interested in donating your time and professional skills, please contact MMA.
